How to apply for the Scholarship Program for the HDFC Educational Crisis

Launched by HDFC Bank in 2020, the HDFC Educational Crisis Scholarship Scheme (ECSS) is a merit-cum-need scholarship program designed to assist deserving and needy students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are struggling financially as a result of personal or family emergencies. Students in grades 1 through 12 who are enrolled in diploma, ITI, polytechnic, undergraduate, and graduate (general and professional) programs are eligible for the scholarship program.

In order to apply for the HDFC ECSS, you must:

1. Go to the "HDFC Educational Crisis Scholarship Scheme" page on the HDFC Bank website.

2. Register for a new account or sign into an already-existing one.

3. Complete the online application and attach all necessary files.

4. Send in your application.

Needed paperwork

* Identification and address proof (such as voter ID cards, PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, etc.)

* Income documentation, such as a pay stub or tax return

* Documentation of academic achievement, such as grades, certificates, etc.

* Documentation of family or personal difficulties (such as a death certificate, illness certificate, etc.)

Process of selection

Candidates will be chosen by the HDFC ECSS selection committee on the basis of their academic standing, need for financial assistance, and any personal or family emergencies. The committee will also take the following things into account:

* The pupil's capacity for academic work

* The family history of the student

* The seriousness of the student's familial or personal crisis

* The pupil's dedication to their studies

Awarding of scholarships

Tuition, books, and other costs are paid for by the student's educational institution directly with the proceeds of the HDFC ECSS scholarship. Usually, the scholarship is awarded in two installments: once at the start of the school year and once at its conclusion.

Critical dates

Generally speaking, the HDFC ECSS application period begins in June and ends in August. The scholarship results are made public by the selecting committee in September.
