India's Literary Laurels: Celebrating Excellence
A Guide to the Nation's Top Literary Awards

Giving a precise "top 5" is difficult because literary awards differ in terms of focus and status. I may, however, list a few of India's most prestigious literary honors, which honor exceptional works and writers:
The Janpith Award: This is regarded as the highest literary honor in India. Every year, an author who has made a significant contribution to Indian literature is given this honor. It acknowledges a lifetime of effort.
The Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters, bestows the Sahitya Akademi Award every year to honor exceptional works in any of the country's 24 major languages.
JCB Literary Prize: This award, which is relatively new, is quite prestigious and focuses on Indian authors who write in or have their works translated into English. There is a sizable monetary reward.
Saraswati Samman: This award, which was established by the K.K. Birla Foundation, honors exceptional literary works in any of the Indian languages included in Schedule VIII of the Indian Constitution.
These are the AutHer Awards: This award is offered to female writers in a variety of categories by The Times of India.
It's critical to keep in mind that "recent" might be a subjective term. I suggest visiting the official websites of these award-giving organizations to identify the most recent winners.
