There are 43 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India, based on the information that is currently accessible.  India's rich natural and cultural legacy is reflected in this figure.  Important things to keep in mind:

 India boasts a wide range of sites, encompassing mixed, natural, and cultural categories.  As additional places are added by UNESCO, the number of sites may vary.

  "Moidams – the Mound-Burial System of the Ahom Dynasty" in Assam, 2024, is the most recent addition.

 Thus, there are currently forty-three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.
